Day 1
ARRIVAL
Guests arrive at Nampula Airport and are met by a representative from Moz Adventures who will transfer them to Feitoria Boutique Hotel (visas by own arrangement and own account).

Day 2
NAMPULA
After breakfast, guests are taken on a tour of Ilha de Mozambique, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour will be hosted by Coral Lodge and is included in the rates of Coral Lodge.

Ilha de Mozambique was one of many Portuguese trading settlements and ports that were created along a stretch of south-east African coastline, which soon came to be called “Portuguese East Africa,” which now forms Mozambique. The famous Fort of São Sebastião that guards the island at the northern end of Stone Town, took 50 years to build and was completed by 1608.

Afterwards, guests return to the hotel.

Day 3
NAMPULA
After breakfast, guests can enjoy the rest of the morning at the pool or restaurant, after which they will be collected by a Coral Lodge representative by boat and transferred through to Coral Lodge (20-40 minutes).

The lodge is set on a breathtaking peninsula, with pristine beaches and a winding lagoon. Coral Lodge supports many of the local farmers from the nearby communities, and buy fresh produce on a daily basis, ensuring a healthy and organic dining experience. The chefs will take guests on a culinary journey filled with the freshest seafood and an excellent selection of local dishes and hearty meals.

Day 4
After breakfast, guests can take a walk with one of the staff members to visit the traditional fishing village of Cabaceira Pequena, where the majority of the Coral Lodge family come from. Guests will be introduced to the locals and learn the history of the village. The village is populated by the Macua people, which is the main and most influential culture in Mozambique. The remote location of the village means the locals have lived in isolation for many centuries. On the return trip, guests can canoe through the mangroves that lie beyond the lodge.

Day 5-7
Guests can spend the following days at leisure, taking part in some of the activities provided by the lodge. These include snorkelling in the lagoon in front of the lodge, exploring the clear waters. For those looking for more of a challenge, stand up paddleboarding and canoeing is also offered and is a great way for guests to explore the mangroves or to head out to the ocean and enjoy a birds-eye view of the sea life below.

On day 6, guests can take the opportunity to cook with the chef, learning about his favourite Mozambican dishes and how to cook them. On day 7, guests will enjoy a private dining experience on the beach, under the African stars.

Day 8
DEPARTURE
Guests enjoy a final breakfast at the lodge before they are transferred to Ilha de Mozambique by boat (20-40 minutes) and then board a 2 – 2.5 hour road transfer to Nampula International Airport for their onward arrangements.
