Day 1
ARRIVAL
Guests arrive at Vilanculos Airport and are met by a representative from the lodge and then transferred by road to Vilanculos Beach Lodge (visas by own arrangement and own account). Vilanculos Beach Lodge is situated in the small coastal town of Vilankulo, in the subtropical province of Inhambane. The lodge offers exquisite accommodation, a fine dining restaurant, 2 beautiful bar areas, rolling gardens and an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The pool area has incredible, uninterrupted views of the azure blue ocean as well as of the stunning Archipelago. The pool bar overlooks the garden, pool and beach, and offers a more relaxed atmosphere. A selection of drinks, shooters, and cocktails are available. The gardens are a blend of indigenous bush on the slopes around the bungalows and pathways, and tropical lush green palms and lawns of the guest entertainment areas. The rolling green lawns of the gardens around the main building, pool and pool bar are peppered with palm trees, and there are scattered paved areas among the trees that offer quiet shaded areas for drinks.

The bungalows are constructed on ironwood stilts, set in the lush indigenous gardens, each with a private balcony and with air-conditioning. Guests can choose from the a la carte menu, and on Sundays, there is a set menu available, as well as live entertainment.

Day 2
After breakfast, guests can spend their day at leisure. There are many activities that are available through the hotel, such as horse riding, kite surfing, island trips, cultural tours, diving or book a spa treatment at the lodge (for own account). Stand up paddleboards and kayaks are available to guests free of charge.

The lodge is only 8km from the town of Vilankulo, with friendly people and a lively atmosphere. Guests can book a village and market tour (for own account), getting an insight into village life, including a visit to a local school as well as the opportunity to enjoy lunch at a local homestead and really experience the local cuisine. Day 3
The lodge is perfectly situated to provide the perfect base from which to explore the picturesque Bazaruto Archipelago and the Bazaruto National Park.

The marine reserve includes 5 islands – Santa Carolina (also known as Paradise Island), Bazaruto, Benguerra, Magaruque and Bangue. The Archipelago offers some of the world’s best snorkelling, diving and big game fishing. The islands are pristine in their natural beauty and diverse ecologies. The coral reefs are profuse with a diversity of tropical fish and turtles and are amongst the most pristine in the western Indian Ocean. Day 4
For guests who prefer to stay on the beach, the lodge offers a host of games and activities. Guests can choose from garden or beach soccer, racquetball, swing ball, ping pong, volleyball, and card and board games are available in the restaurant. There is a reading garden, if some quiet time is preferred.

Guests can also visit Stillwater Spa, the perfect place to release any unwanted stress and tension. Here guests can choose from a variety of treatments, including a variety of massages, manicures and pedicures (for own account).

For the more adventurous, there is quad biking, where guests can go and visit Vilankulo, navigating the sand roads through the bush to the Vilankulo Red Dunes, or they can book a horse safari and take a ride along the Vilankulo coastline, go swimming in the ocean, or enjoy a breakfast or moonlight ride (for own account). Day 5
DEPARTURE
Guests enjoy a final breakfast at the lodge before they are transferred to Vilanculos International Airport for their onward arrangements.
